Reflexology for Fertility

Reflexology may offer several benefits for people trying to conceive but also during pregnancy and labour.

Lifestyle and nutritional health have an impact on the chances of getting pregnant. Therefore it is important that the 'to-be' mother and father prepare their body ecology and create the optimal environment for conception for at least three months before conception. This minimises problems and increases the chances of a viable pregnancy.

Stress is also an important factor with fertility related issues.  Reflexology helps to break the 'stress cycle' by balancing and re-aligning your body.

Below are some of the benefits of reflexology for fertility, from pre-conception to labour:

Reducing Stress

Reflexology can help reduce stress, which is beneficial for people trying to conceive. High levels of stress can negatively impact fertility and may even lead to infertility.

Improving Blood Circulation

Reflexology may improve blood circulation throughout the body, including the reproductive system. This increased blood flow can enhance the delivery of nutrients and oxygen to the reproductive organs, improving their overall function.

Enhancing Sperm Quality

Reflexology may also help enhance sperm quality by reducing stress and improving blood circulation to the testicles.

Balancing Hormones

Hormonal imbalances can contribute to infertility. Reflexology may help balance hormones by stimulating the endocrine system, which is responsible for producing and regulating hormones.

Supporting Healthy Ovulation

Reflexology may help support healthy ovulation by stimulating the ovaries and balancing the hormonal environment.

Pregnancy Related conditions and Labour

Reflexology may help reduce discomfort during pregnancy, such as back pain, swelling, and constipation.

Reflexology may also be used to promote labour.

Next Steps

Before your reflexology treatment begins, we will discuss your medical history, menstrual cycle and any fertility issues you may have or may have had or treatment you may be undertaking such as IVF.

The number of reflexology sessions required can vary from person to person. For fertility issues, treatments should take place in the 3 months prior to conception. For reflexology during pregnancy, treatments should ideally be a minimum of twice per month.

In all cases, treatment plans including pricing will be tailored to your needs

Note: Reflexology treatment is not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy
